YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. R.V. Navaratnam
YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. R.V. Navaratnam is a prominent Malaysian economist who played an important role in the economic development of Malaysia. His 30-year career in the civil service and 16 years in banking and business enables him to offer both a broad perspective as well as an insider’s view of management practices in these different sectors. Tan Sri Navaratnam graduated in Economics at the University of Malaya in Singapore in 1959.
Tan Sri Navaratnam was the former president of Transparency International Malaysia and a member of the National Economic Action Council (NEAC) Globalisation Committee.
He currently serves as Corporate Advisor with Sunway Group. He is also the Director of the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI) as well as a member of the Court and Council of the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM), the Selangor Business Council and the Selangor Economic Advisory Panel.
Tan Sri Navaratnam’s community work extends to serving on the Board of the National Kidney Foundation, the Malaysian Liver Foundation and he is the President of the Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia.
